Praise and Prayer Requests
Prayer and Praise for February 9, 2026
Praise God with us:
1. Vera Mae Marie Yoder arrived February 4, 2026 at 8:37 pm; 7lbs 13oz and 20 1/2 inches. Congratulations to Vivian and LaVern Yoder!
2. Today is El Hanna Abdi’s first Birthday.
3. We praise God for 12 Good News Clubs and 1 Junior Youth Challenge Club with 213 children enrolled and 15 salvation decisions.
4. There were 40 children that attended the Release Time Club in Durand last week!
5. Another worker for the GNC at Wilcox School started last week.
6. Maryann has reached her goal of losing 60 pounds for her knee replacement surgery. She has an appointment with the surgeon on Feb. 23
Pray with us:
1. The Hammar’s need to replace their minivan (too many problems to repair) with something similar that will be large enough for summer ministry driving and supplies.
2. Pray for clubs meeting this week: North, Attwood, Riddle/Willow, Cole Academy in Lansing; Alaiedon, North Aurelius, and Steele in Mason; Wilcox in Holt; Bath; Columbia Road Baptist Church, and Release Time Club in Potterville. The club in Webberville will not meet again until March 5, due to many workers taking vacations this month. Pray for another worker for the club at Steele School in Mason.
3. Pray for the committee meeting on Tuesday evening.
4. Please pray for increased financial support for Elias, Vivian, and the Hammar’s. Pray that the additional needs of this new year will be met.
5. Pray for Elias and Bezawit as they look for different housing and for a bigger vehicle.
6. Pray as we plan for upcoming events: Feb. 21 – Teen Sledding party; March 5 – Teaching Children Effectively 2 course begins; March 7 – Easter Party Club training; May 2 – Spring Banquet CYIA and summer ministry.
7. Pray as we get quotes from contractors concerning adding a bathroom to the main floor of the CEF office.
8. Maryann has an appointment Thursday morning with the principal at Winans Elementary School (Waverly Schools) in regards to a Good News Club there in the fall.
