Maryann Hammar – Co-Director
Maryann was saved as a child, graduated from Northwest High School in Jackson, MI; and Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana with a degree in Music. She and her husband, Doug, were married in 1984 and have been working with CEF for over 25 years, first in Detroit, then Tustin, and now in Lansing. Maryann began working part time with Capital Area CEF in 2005 as Teacher Training Coordinator. She became Local Coordinator in 2009 and in March 2011 was named as the new Director
Doug Hammar – Co-Director
Doug Hammar began his ministry with CEF in 1983, as an intern in Detroit, MI. Doug and Maryann were married in 1984 and continued working in the Detroit area until God moved them to Tustin, MI in 2000. Doug became the Local Director for the Central Chapter of CEF. In 2002, he became Director of Administration for CEF of MI, where he served until October 2015. After the Southwells left Capital Area CEF and Marilyn Rossow retired, Doug was asked by the State Board to move to the Capital Area Chapter and be co-director with Maryann.
Elias Aklilu Abdi
Elias began his ministry with CEF in Ethiopia about 11 years ago. In 2017, he immigrated to the US, and settled in East Lansing, MI. While in Ethiopia, he was instrumental in getting CEF started in that country. He received his CEF training in Kenya, East Africa.
