Teacher Training

CEF of Michigan, Capital Area Chapter has many options for teacher training.

  • Good News Club Workers training - offered every month - 6 weeks  Purpose:  To offer continuing training, materials, and ideas for those teaching in the Good News Club ministry.  All are welcome - even if you are not currently teaching in a club
  • Super Seminars - CEF staff will come to your church for a predetermined length of time and offer training for your children's workers in your church.  Subject lists are available upon request.
  • Teaching Children EffectivelyTM 1 - this is a 30-hour course which is part of our Children's Ministries Institute.  Prerequisits:  A born-again believer in Jesus Christ, as least 15 years of age, and a desire to reach the children for Jesus Christ.  The cost for this course is $80 and there is homework and in-class presentations.  Pre-registration is required.  Check our the "downloads" tab for the most current course information and registration form.
  • Teaching Children EffectivelyTM 2 - this is a 30-hour course.  Prerequisites:  Most have a certificate for TCE 1, and be actively involved in children's ministry.
  • Christian Youth In ActionR - For teens 15 and older, 2 weeks in June, equips young people to teach 5-Day Clubs during the summer months of July and August in the local area or for CEF of Michigan.  Cost for the two weeks:  $400  Training takes place at Grace Bible College in Wyoming, MI
  • Jr. Christian Youth In Action - for teens 13 & 14 years old, 1 week of tTMg people to assist in teaching the 5-Day Clubs during the summer months of July and August.  Cost for 1 week:  $200.  Training takes place simultaneously with week 2 of CYIA at Grace Bible College In Wyoming, MI.
  • Children's Ministries Institute - the training school for Child Evangelism Fellowship in Warrenton, MO.  The complete course is 12 weeks, but can be taken in modules, and many courses are offered online.
